
Tom began his music career at Arista Records in the video promotion department. He next joined the marketing team at Sonicnet which sparked his initial interest for melding the worlds of music and new media.
Tom went on to New York's Cardozo School of Law and worked at the entertainment law firm Glinert & Chidekel. Tom then joined New York's Gotham Records as a partner. He signed and developed acts such as The Loose Nuts, Supafuzz and Liquid Gang.
Tom left Gotham to start All Indie, which he founded in June 1999 with partner Mark Roemer. All Indie's goal was to develop emerging artists using a combination of new media and traditional distribution, promotion and marketing. Tom was a regular speaker at industry conferences around the world including Webnoize, SXSW, CMJ & Harvard Law School.
Tom then worked at Track Entertainment building and selling sponsorship opportunities around the Pepsi Britney Spears tour, Lipton Iced Tea Dixie Chicks Tour, Jim Beam music programs, Rolling Rock Town Fair, as well as at Dima Productions building and selling a Title sponsorship to Target for Children’s Day.
When XM Satellite Radio restructured their ad sales team, Tom was the third hire and founding member in the new group. He was charged with developing sponsorship opportunities for key products on over 170 channels in a complicated and evolving marketplace. His role and responsibilities grew as the group grew to over 50 people.
