Social Media & Web Marketing Specialist, Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation

Roxanne Rives leads Social Media and Digital Marketing Programs at Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation. She is responsible for delivering digital communication to potential volunteers, supporters and future marrow donors. Roxanne specializes in social media strategy, development, integration, infrastructure, and management.

She started as a full time social media leader at Food For The Poor, a nonprofit focused on international relief to Latin America and the Caribbean. It is there where she served as the organization’s first on board of Emerging Media, responsible for the development of online communication and social media strategy. Under her tenure, the organization received publicity in the Non Profit times as a great example of what non profits can do on Twitter.

Since its’ launch in May 2010, Gift of Life’s facebook page has served as integral part of the organizations digital marketing strategy and has had great success; providing a community for volunteers, patients, families, and future registered donors. The social media platform that Gift of Life runs is a lead influencer in making several business decisions.

Prior to her work in social media, Roxanne was an online editor for daily news, which included her own weekly column in the early 2000s covering local business.
