
Liya Sharif specializes in digital communications with over decade of leadership in integrated marketing, branding and public relations. As Sr. Director of Global Communications at Qualcomm, Liya is responsible for social media marketing and digital strategies, blogger programs, immersive campaigns, content programs, speakerships, sponsorships, marketing analytics and more. Before joining Qualcomm in 2009, Liya was senior vice president and managing director at JHG, San Diego-based digital marketing agency, where she worked with the diverse range of clients in wireless, analytics, entertainment, software and mobile applications industries. Prior to that from 2004 she led public relations and branding practice for Townsend Inc., the highly respected tech PR agency, which was later acquired by JHG. Before, she was director of marketing for WIDCOMM, where she led PR and communications in support of a successful acquisition by Broadcom. Prior to that, Liya was director of marketing and communications for M7 Networks, now part of Motricity and led marketing and public relations efforts at ideaEDGE Ventures, technology venture capital incubator for wireless start-ups. Creator of award-winning campaigns, Liya was named 2008 Finalist by the American Business Awards (The Stevies) in the Best PR Executive Category and 2008 Finalist by PR News Award in Agency Executive Category of the Year.
