Klaus Werner

Managing Director, eCommerce, RED F Marketing

Werner is a bilingual leader with 23 years of experience in Financial Services, Telecommunications and Retail. He has unique experience managing a broad range of functional areas including Strategy, eCommerce, Marketing/Sales (traditional and online), Information Technology, Customer Service, Product Management, Finance, and Merchandising in both the U.S. and abroad.

Prior to starting his own business, Werner was responsible for defining the digital strategy for Lowes.com. He increased digital investment tenfold, quintupled the size of the team, and increased web traffic over 70% YOY. At AT&T (BellSouth), Werner served as a CIO of an $8Billion business unit for three years. Prior to that, he established the digital presence for the company through the implementation of robust billing, payment, transactional and self service capabilities. Finally, Werner spent 10 years at American Express in positions of increasing responsibilities managing call center operations and growing the presence of its International Dollar Card in Latin America.

Werner is a strong public speaker that has made numerous presentations to the media, industry analysts, and C-Level executives including CEO's at Lowe's, AT&T and American Express. At the same time, Werner's technical breadth also allows him to comfortably communicate at a more granular level with marketers, developers, customer service representations, and other personnel across organizations. Werner lives in Davidson, NC and enjoys boating, tennis, coaching soccer, and spending time with his two children, Patrick and Caroline.
