
Brent founded and recently launched Second Porch Inc. the new social vacation home marketplace, and has been featured recently in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune and TechCrunch.
Brent has more than 20 years of executive management experience, with a range of experience as a high tech marketing executive focused on high-growth, turnaround, & entrepreneurial marketing assignments. He co-founded NewCity Communications at age 19 while graduating with honors in Economics.
In 1996 Brent joined ABC Technologies to run marketing, & won several software marketing awards, & helped launch a significant new web initiative called BetterManagement.com. The company was sold to SAS Institute, the largest private software company in the world.
In 2000, Brent was recruited to run marketing at fast-growing WebTrends where he led a turnaround effort & an aggressive expansion of the web analytics category. The company grew from $19 million to $61 million in his first year.
In 2003, Brent was named one the top B2B marketers of the year. In 2005, the WebTrends division was sold off to Francisco Partners. Brent then became CMO of Touch Clarity out of London, where he repositioned the company, launched an industry analyst program, made key partner business development introductions, eventually selling the company to Omniture 9 months later.
Brent became Omnitures' evangelist & strategic marketing executive, before leaving to start Second Porch Inc.
