
Needles, a well-known thought leader in modern B2B marketing and demand generation strategy, recently departed as evangelist and head of field marketing for marketing automation software vendor Silverpop to join Left Brain Marketing as Vice President, Demand Generation Strategy. He oversees the demand generation strategy practice, is the steward of the agency’s core proprietary demand generation process model – The Left Brain Model (TM) – and is leading marketplace education initiatives around demand generation strategy.
Prior to Silverpop, Needles served as Vice President of Marketing and Development for technology-industry analysis firm The 451 Group, where under his marketing leadership, revenue grew 10X. Additionally, he helped build the firm’s B2B service brand in the United States and Europe and led initiatives around marketplace repositioning and defining the product/service mix. Adam was also a principal and founder of DVG Research, a market strategy firm, and an associate at Citigate Cunningham, a technology public relations firm.
Needles is an active evangelist around the changing nature of modern B2B demand generation. He has spoken across North America at events including Dreamforce and Online Marketing Summit, and across Europe at events including B2B Marketing Forum Amsterdam and at B2B Magazine and DMA events in London. He founded Silverpop’s B2B Marketing University event series, where he remains a regular speaker. He also is a frequent writer and blogger, contributing to MarketingProfs’ Daily Fix blog, Left Brain Marketing’s new DemandGen (r)Evolution blog and to his own blog, Propelling Brands.
Needles holds a Bachelors degree from Georgetown University’s prestigious School of Foreign Service in Science and Technology in International Affairs. He also holds a Masters from the Wisconsin School of Business in Brand and Product Management.
